personally and as a representative of the two organiza we immediately joined the network of local organizations and started the task of connection between our personal and institutional networks and the local network in Temuco.
On behalf of the network of civil society organizations of Temuco and delal Italian network that joins, I thank you for all the efforts to spread this message and any kind of support and solidarity that can be offered.

We decided to join the network by offering to collect donations for the emergency, assucurare transparency in the management of donations and to convey to the Italian network and international local requests limited in the medium and long term.

It 'important to note that the network is designed to operate in areas and sectors where the aid of large organizations are struggling to get and is carrying out a detailed survey of the needs in the short, medium and long term.

Temuco March 4, 2010
Various civil society organizations of the Region IX (south-central Chile) are coordinating efforts to bring aid to communities most affected by the earthquake on Saturday last , in particular for coastal communities affected by the tsunami resulting therefrom. This joint action will be implemented in coordination with the community rural and indigenous authorities of the affected rural communities. After gathering information on affected areas, this is the coordination of civil society organizations and Mapuche organizations will coordinate direct support to communities that currently della'area appear to have suffered greater damage and in which the help of government and other humanitarian organizations had not yet arrived.

Coordination of organizations believe that it is urgent and necessary to bring support to these and other communities, and in particular to support the rebuilding of local organizations to ensure local capacity in distribution of aid and the ability to mobilize action.

We call on all organizations and citizens to contact the Observatorio Ciudadano, which is coordinating the organization of Temuco.
From Friday, March 5 will provide a bank account to receive donations that will be used for the purchase and distribution of non-perishable food, hygiene products, batteries, sleeping bags, radio, etc. to affected communities.
The first convoy will depart from Temuco to the communities affected this Friday 5 / 03 at 09.00.
